Updated Coronavirus Announcement (March 17, 1:00 PM)

Dear MVBC Church Family:

We pray that this communication finds you all safe and well. Our staff team met yesterday, spent time in prayer, and discussed how MVBC can find the best balance between continuing to execute our mission/vision “for God’s glory…” while also showing love for our neighbors (see Mk. 12:31, Gal. 6:10, Phil. 2:4). We wanted to follow up today with more specific information about MVBC’s schedule for this upcoming week. Please note that:

  1. MVBC will be gathering online for worship services starting this Sunday, March 22. We encourage everyone to stay connected to the Word of God and to the MVBC church family by joining us for a live stream worship service online at 10:30am. More information and instructions will follow later this week about how to join this live stream service. Also, the service will be available as a video/audio recording on the MVBC website and YouTube page (MVBC Raleigh Media) on Sunday afternoon.
  2. MVBC is postponing all other programming for this current week through Sunday, March 22. This includes all programming for preschool, children, youth, worship ministry, Sunday school, Life Groups, prayer meeting, etc.

We are continually evaluating whether other ministry opportunities can be responsibly and safely accommodated and what that might look like for those involved. Please look for Realm messages to the whole church body from the “MVBC News & Info” account so that you can have the most up to date information as circumstances continue to develop.

If we can assist you with updating your information in Realm, please contact our office during normal business hours (8am-4pm, Monday-Thursday) or by emailing info@mvbcraleigh.com. Also, if you know someone in our church who is not on Realm, please help them stay connected by offering some guidance and encouraging them to reach out via the email address above. We are praying for you and your family as you live for Jesus in these days.

Blessings,

Pastor Shannon Scott & the MVBC Ministry Staff

Updated Coronavirus Announcement (March 16, 5:00 PM)

Dear MVBC Church Family:

In light of the continuing developments regarding COVID-19, we want to communicate clearly about three things so you can be informed about life at MVBC in the coming days. Please take time to read this message in its entirety…

  1. Communication – As the situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to develop rapidly, the urgency of the present moment requires that the church staff move quickly to develop a single medium to send up-to-the-minute news and information to the church body. Over the past 2 years, MVBC has gradually become more familiar with Realm as an online, virtual way to stay connected. MVBC’s past use of Realm has been limited to small groups and committees within the church. However, starting today, MVBC’s Realm site will be used as the primary medium for sharing up-to-the-minute news and information about MVBC services and programming…
  • If you currently have a Realm account, you are receiving this message in your email inbox or Realm inbox (based on preferences you have selected within your settings). Also, you can log into Realm at any time by following this link in your web browser or by downloading the “Realm Connect” app on your mobile device (using the same login credentials as the browser version). There is no need to respond to this communication unless there are specific questions.
  • If you currently do not have a Realm account and are a member of MVBC, please email info@mvbcraleigh.com or call the church office during regular business hours (Monday-Thursday, 8am-4pm; 919-847-0160) and provide your name, email address, and birthdate/year (must be 16 or older for security purposes) so that we can send you a personal invitation to join MVBC’s Realm site.
  1. PRISM Conference Recordings – We encourage everyone to watch the video recordings of yesterday morning’s messages from the PRISM Conference featuring our guest speaker, Rusty Womack (Senior Pastor of Rocky Hock Baptist Church in Edenton, NC). Both of the morning messages are available on the MVBC website at this link.
  2. Tithes & Offerings – To continue giving your regular tithes & offerings to MVBC in the coming days, please drop off your contributions in the secure drop box in the door of the Financial Office. At present, the plan is for MVBC offices to be open between the hours of 8am-4pm, Monday-Thursday.

More information will be sent out via Realm tomorrow (Tuesday, 3/17) regarding this upcoming week’s schedule. Please pray for us as we seek to create and maintain a healthy balance between the safety and love of neighbor with ongoing experiences of biblical community and mission.

Blessings,
Pastor Shannon Scott & the MVBC Ministry Staff
