Vocal Music
Preschoolers (Ages 2-4)
The Preschool Choir is a gathering of all preschool aged children where they will musically encounter their first steps into the worship or our God. During their time, they will sing, play games, and learn Scripture. This group meets year round on the Preschool Hall (Wednesday @ 6:30) and is always excited to have new little ones come to join.
Children (Grades K – 6th)
Son Mountain Kids Praise! – meets every Wednesday at 6:30 in the Choir Room. Each week the children spend time rehearsing songs that are energetic and engaging while learning the basics of music reading. The group presents musicals and special music throughout the year and also participates in outreach events each month.
Worship Leading (7th + )
Worship Choir: The group assists in leading worship on Sundays as well as special events seasonally. The group rehearses every Wednesday evening at 7:30 PM in the Choir Room located directly behind the Worship Center.
Worship Teams: The Worship Teams are comprised of small groups of singers from the Worship Choir that assist in leading worship on Sundays. The groups rehearse along with the Worship Band each Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM in the Worship Center.
Instrumental Music
Worship Band: The Worship Band of Mount Vernon is a group of musicians that assist in leading worship on Sundays. The group rehearses each Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM in the Worship Center.
Handbells: JuBELLation, Mount Vernon’s handbell choir, rehearses seasonally in the sanctuary. The group is comprised of adults, youth, and older children.
